#Sona2016 – Powerful Words from President Rody Duterte

Hello!

I know everyone ‘s still can’t get over about the FIRST SONA of our beloved President Rody. And so far, this has been the most favorite and most watched SONA in the Philippine History. Why? I could sum it all up as:

  1. Straightforward
  2. No bullshits
  3. No finger-pointing
  4. Action-driven vision, mission and goals
  5. Everyone is all ears, all eyes and all understanding

And so, I was able to list down some powerful statements from his State of the Nation Address.  My favorite one is that when he mentioned about “In God’s name, let us not hate each other.” How about you? What’s the most striking statement for you?

“The present is what we are concerned of.”
“Equal right and equal protection for everyone.”

“Human Rights must work to Uplift HUMAN DIGNITY. But Human Rights cannot be used as a shield and as an excuse to destroy the country.”

“All of us want peace. Not the peace of the dead but the peace of the living.”
“In God’s name, let us not hate each other too much.”
“I assure you this will be a clean government.”
